THE VENUE
The 23rd General Meeting of the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) will take place from July 18th to July 22nd 2022 in the Cité Centre de Congrès in Lyon: 50 Quai Charles de Gaulle, 69463 Lyon.
Getting to Lyon, Cité Internationale or The Lyon Convention Centre is easy, there are various means of transport available.
Lyon can easily be reached:
• by plane as it is served by an international airport: 27 French cities connected by daily, scheduled flights, 43 scheduled international flights, 19 charter routes and 7 cargo routes
-> Express tramway between Lyon St Exupéry airport and the Part Dieu TGV train station
• by train: 2 hours from Paris, 1½ hours from Marseille, 4 hours from Brussels
• by car: 4 hours from Paris, 3 hours from Turin, 5 hours from Barcelona
The Lyon Cité Centre de Congrès is easily accessible:
• by car, located close to the Lyon Périphérique Nord (Northern Ring Road), car parks available under the Convention Center
• by local city bus: 3 bus and trolley lines linked directly to the Métro, TGV station and City Centre (lines C1, C4, C5 – the station is called “Musée d’Art Contemporain”)
• by bike: 6 Vélo’v stations (pushbike rental) within easy reach
